The mission of the 9463 Foundation for Florida’s Fallen Officers is to: remember fallen heroes, educate the public, and support and assist the families who have lost loved ones while they were serving our community. On Thursday, April 21, Lexus of North Miami hosted Backpack to the Future – a VIP kick-off reception and backpack collection fundraiser benefitting The Russell Life Skills and Reading Foundation. CBS 4 reporter Nicole Maristany emceed the event, which featured a special reading for children by former Miami Dolphin Twan Russell and Martine Zinn to celebrate the importance of educating and our youth. The reception was held as a kick-off to the backpack and school supply collection currently underway at all Craig Zinn Automotive Group dealerships, and guests were encouraged to bring a new book bag or school supply item to benefit The Russell Life Skills and Reading Foundation.
